Considered to be one of the toughest motorcycling roads, the drive isn’t easy even in a 4-wheeler. Local drivers take 12 hours at one go, but most tourists camp at Sarchu. The calm Buddhist monasteries, mountain passes, pristine water way makes up for the uncertainty of this road.

Shimla-KazaTop 10 road trips


There will be some back beating on the way to Narkanda but it makes up for the cedar and pine forests that you drive through, and of course the Heaven's base camp Hatu peak (Narkanda). On the road towards Kaza you will witness a breath-taking view of Kinner Kailash, Nako Lake, and Lari a small township of 100 people, all this while the river Sutlej accompanies you. Across Kaza Kibber claims to be the highest motorable village in the world at 14,200 feet.

Munnar-Ooty-CoorgTop 10 road trips


Was crowned as the world's ultimate Riding Wonder from the list of the top 7 Riding Wonders couple of years back for its varied scenery, mixture of mountain climbs, twisting corners and diverse wildlife. Absolutely fantastic, winding roads through tea estates are charming enough.

Route: Munnar – Marayoor – Chinar – Udmalpet – Pollachi – Coimbatore – Metupalayam –Kotagiri - Ooty – Mysore - Coorg

Vadodra-BhujTop 10 road trips


Deemed as bikers' battleground. The drive from Vadodra to Bhuj via Ahmedabad is smooth. Driving through the bustling cities Vadodra and Ahmedabad, Bhuj is a welcome change. From Bhuj the entry point into Rann of Kutch called 'Ekal ka Rann' is about 80 kms. Wheels rolling through the village life, takes you closer to the salt marsh, which by itself is engulfing.

Route: Vadodra - Ahmedabad - Bhuj

Banglore-KodaikanalTop 10 road trips

The drive up to Dindigul is a 4-laned highway. It’s after Dindigul that you'll hit the hills. A few KMS before Salem you'll pass through Thoppur forest. The drive, needless to say, is scenic and curvy.
Distance: Around 500 kms
Route: Bangalore - Dindigul - Kodaikanal
Best time to visit: September to May

Guwahati-TawangTop 10 road trips


The drive from Guwahati to Tawang takes you through the beautiful tea estates of Assam and pretty bamboo hutments. The road from Bhalukpong onwards is winding and the mountains are mesmerizing with the clouds kissing the mountains.

Route: Guwahati - Tezpur - Bhalukpong -Tawang
Best time to visit: March to October

Kolkata-DarjeelingTop 10 road trips


The road is brilliant with tea estates on one side and the valley on the other. Avoid driving after 6:00 pm as it gets foggy and the morning drive is engulfing.

Shillong-CherapunjeeTop 10 road trips

The drive can be covered in under an hour but the sight of pinewood covered mountains makes the journey enticing for stopovers throughout. A must stop point is the Duwan Singh Syiem Bridge from where you get a picturesque view of the Mawkdok Dympep Valley, extending all the way up to Cherrapunji.

Route: Shillong to Cherrapunji
Best time to visit: Except Monsoon but then monsoon is enjoyable
