Baga Beach, situated in North Goa, is a very busy tourist spot and is just 9 kilometres from Mapusa and 16 kilometres away from the capital of Goa, Panaji. Being one of the most happening beaches on the coast, you can find all sorts of entertainment here. Getting there
Andaman, being an island, can be reached in only two ways – By air or by sea. You have direct daily flights to Port Blair (capital of Andaman) from Delhi, Kolkata and Chennai. Some flights also fly from Bhuwaneshwar on certain days. Whereas ships sail from Chennai, Vizag & Kolkata. There are usually 3-4 sailings every month and the tentative sailing schedule can be found here. Ship voyage takes about 50-60 hours. Palolem is located in south Goa, 43 kilometers from Marago and 76 kilometers from Panaji, the state's capital. The closest railway stations to Palolem are Marago on the Konkan Railway and Canacona (also known as Chaudi). Canacona is a 10 minute drive away from Palolem. Marago is 40 minutes away. Alternatively, Goa's Dabolim airport is around one and a half hours away.

Getting there
Calangute beach is reached by road as it is best connected to different localities of Goa. As roads are in good condition reaching there is best experience. Thivim is nearest railway station here. Two more stations Margao and Vasco are nearby. It takes 20 minutes to reach by taxi. Although state buses run in different locations frequently covering many parts of Goa, you may have to change a few if distance is long. Take for example the root from airport to Calangute for which at least three buses are to be changed. One can take taxi as well from Panaji.

South of Benaulim lies the beautiful stretch of coast line with soft white sand and black lava rocks. This is Cavelossim beach. Getting there
Cavelossim beach is around 12 km from Benaulim. One can avail the buses or taxis services to reach the Cavelossim beach or else can hire motorbike to travel to these beaches. Dabolim Airport, Mormugao is 60 minutes from here. Travel to Capital Panaji takes 80 minutes. Margao Railway Station is 25 minutes from here and Tivim Railway Station is 100 minutes travel on road. If you’re going South along National Highway, turn left at Chinchinim, follow the road and take a left at the Orlim Main Road, follow this road till you reach Cavelossim.

Puri, OdishaTop 10 Popular Beaches

One of the busiest beach in the country, mainly due to all sort of pilgrims coming there to offer their prayers at Jagannath Puri. Fine white sands, roar of the breakers rolling in from the Bay of Bengal and countless devotees flocking the place for a purification dip are the synonyms to the Puri Beach. The beach has continued to be a sacred venue for an endless number of pilgrims coming to pay homage to Lord Jagannath. With the annual Beach Festival taking place in November, the beach has now become a favorite haunt of both Indian and foreign beach lovers. Located at a mere distance of 35 kms from the Sun Temple and 65 kms from Bhubaneshwar, the beach is an ideal place for an introvert holiday maker for the scarcity of crowd here. The beaches of Puri are also renowned for the sand sculptures created particularly by the internationally famed Sudarshan Patnaik. The subjects are generally inspired by sculptures covering the temple walls, characters and episodes from the mythology and also the contemporary events. An entire beach stretch can be completely yours given the immense number of beaches in Odisha (Orissa) and a comparatively lower number of fun lovers, the city being a popular pilgrimage point for Indians. The beach at Puri offers a unique opportunity to witness the striking sunrise and the sunset on the same beach. Often crowded with holiday makers bathing in the afternoon, and enjoying the brightly lit kiosks in the night, the stretches, parallel to the main Marine Drive Road, form the domain of the domestic tourists, with a row of hotels, food stalls and kiosks selling souvenirs. A comparatively clean and quite place for sunbathing and a relaxed swim can be found at the eastern end. On the Chakratirtha side, the long stretch of golden sand is more tranquil and pleasant place to stroll. Take enough precaution while swimming as the currents can be treacherous in Puri.

Puri Beach is located at the city of Puri and the distance between Puri railway station and the beach is only 2 km. Nearest airport is located at Bhubaneswar which is 60 km away. Buses and Taxis are available for local transportation.

Kanyakumari Beach, Tamil NaduTop 10 Popular Beaches

Most popular beach and sea-shore but probably only one of the list which has restrictions on bathing. If one talks of Kanyakumari Beach, it is difficult to overlook the pleasantries offered by sunset and sunrise to our eyes. Most of the people make their visit here precisely for this very reason. Surrounded by seas on the three sides, this place is located on the southernmost tip of Indian peninsula. No different from Rameshwaram, this is also a much visited pilgrimage spot. Due to the confluence of three waters – Bay of Bengal, Arabian Sea and Indian Ocean, the sea waters here will mostly be rough. Kanyakumari is located at the southernmost tip of the Indian Peninsula; its former name was Cape Comorin. The Kanyakumari beach is a beautiful sight with multi-coloured sand. The beach here does not really offer one the opportunity to sunbathe on soft golden sands, or to frolic in the waves either. The seashore is rocky and dangerous, and there is a manmade wall running along it. People are warned to stay off the rocks. There is a lighthouse from where one can get a panoramic view. It is entertaining to watch the sea beat itself against the rocks and then subside, before it gathers itself up for another attack. With long stretches of sands of many hues, the beach offers a welcome change. The place is also famous for its distinctly beautiful (reddish) sunrise and sunset. The confluence of three ocean bodies - the Bay of Bengal, the Indian Ocean, and the Arabian Sea - makes the sunrise and sunset even more special. On balmy, full-moon evenings one can also see the moon-rise and sunset at the same time - on either side of the horizon. A variety of shells are on sale on the Kanyakumari beach.

Getting there
Cape Comorin is the southern tip of the Cardamom Hills, an extension of the Western Ghats range along the west coast of India. The nearest major city is Nagercoil, the administrative headquarters of Kanyakumari District, 22 km away. Though nearest airport is Thiruvananthapuram in Kerala, but Kanyakumari is well connected with train and bus services from different cities in Kerala and Tamil Nadu.

Elephant, Andaman Top 10 Popular Beaches

Elephant beach is a nice secluded beach which one can reach either by a private boat or trekking through the rain forests. The trekking takes no more than 30-40 minutes in medium pace and the road a little hilly and forested. They have guides there who carry your belongings and guide you through the forest. The beach is good for snorkeling. There's also a facility for sea walking there. On Elephant beach in Havelock Island, people can watch training of elephants and elephants swimming in sea. Adventure lovers will definitely like Elephant beach. Beach is mostly crowded in the morning till lunch, after which all tourists start to take the returning boat. This would be a ideal time for those who would like some privacy. Of course you should have come by Trek to enjoy the afternoons. Remember to pack food and water, there is very limited option like Tender Coconut and Bhel Puri.

Elephant Beach is located in Havelock. It’s a 30 minutes boat ride from Havelock jetty. Alternatively you can trek down to beach through forest.
